Visiting Central UMC
If you are a first time visitor or have visited many times, our goal is for you to feel comfortable when visiting Central. Whether it is on a Sunday morning or another day during the week, we want you to know what to expect before walking through the doors.

The music in this service is led by our chancel choir. We sing from the hymnal a few times during the service. Our children’s director, Mrs. Alicia, talks with the children at the children’s message. You can find the children’s message on all our social media sites listed above.
Everyone is encouraged to attend a Sunday school class at 9:30am. We serve communion once a month and at special services. Everyone is welcome to take communion from the Lord’s table.

Central is located in Decatur, Alabama, on the corner of Jackson Street and 6th Avenue (which is also Highway 31), ½ mile from the main river bridge.
